Founded in 1971, WECA is the state affiliate of the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and continues to focus on innovation to meet the needs of early
childhood educators and early care and education in Wisconsin
by administering programs and services, advancing engagement efforts, and providing professional development
opportunities
