Event Description:
This workshop is designed for organizations that depend on volunteers to successfully pursue their mission. Issues covered include: recruiting volunteers; sources of volunteers; preparing volunteer guidelines and policies; role of the Volunteer Coordinator; job descriptions and performance standards; volunteer management; motivating volunteers; evaluation; volunteer recognition; terminating volunteers. A draft set of Volunteer Guidelines and a Volunteer Handbook template will be provided.
