MADISON, Wis. — Identity theft wreaks havoc on millions of Americans each year.  To help people learn how to avoid becoming a victim, Summit Credit Union is hosting a free educational seminar, “Identity Theft… Whose Got Your Number?”

           The seminar will teach participants what makes them vulnerable for identity theft, as well as how to protect themselves from fraud, how to spot phishing phone calls and e-mails and what to do if their identity is stolen.  Attendees will also learn how to protect their identity online, as well as those of their minor children.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch, and light refreshments will also be served.
