The Livingston Inn, Madison’s newest bed & breakfast, is offering something unique to its guests.  For a two-week period starting February 19, the inn will allow guests to set their own price for a stay at this historic landmark.  The concept follows a similar promotion at some B&Bs in the UK.

 

During this period, guests will only be charged in advance a $20.00 rate per person to cover breakfast.  From there, guests can determine upon check-out how much they valued their stay and decide an appropriate nightly rate.  The owners, Peggy and Dave Furlan, believe this will be a creative way to connect further with their guests and learn how they rate various aspects of staying at their B&B.

 

Typical rates at The Livingston Inn are $175/night weekdays and $225/night on weekends.  Accommodations include a full breakfast daily and a wine and beer hour nightly.  The “Name Your Price” promotion includes all the amenities and runs from February 19 to March 3 based on availability.  Weekend stays are included but are subject to the inn’s two-night minimum.

 

The Livingston Inn is a Gothic-revival mansion featuring nine fireplaces, lake access, and stunning architectural details.  The inn opened for business at the end of July 2011 and has four guest rooms each with a private bath and fireplace.  The house is also available for weddings and private functions.
