Bloomsday is a celebration of James Joyce's masterpiece novel, Ulysses, to benefit the work of the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired on behalf of Wisconsin residents who face vision challenges. In keeping with the theme, the evening includes Irish music by Alan Ng, refreshments, a raffle and staged readings from Ulysses by Madison notables, including author Margaret George, Wisconsin Public Radio's Norman Gilliland, Barry Levenson of Mustard Museum fame, and former Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz.
