Join HealthTech Capitol, a program of the Chamber, for networking with area healthtech leaders and a conversation with renowned researcher, entrepreneur and investor Thomas "Rock" Mackie.
At this event, Mackie will go in-depth on his latest venture as Chief Innovation Officer at UW Health and Director of Isthmus Project, which offers services such as business planning, instruction on how to access seed funding and assistance making connections with industry.
Mackie's list of innovations and companies includes founding Geometrics and TomoTherapy, investing in and conducting research for SHINE Medical Technologies and investing in Wisconsin Brewing Company. He also spent more than two decades as a faculty member at UW-Madison in medical physics and human oncology. Mackie is responsible for more than 40 patents and 180 peer-reviewed publications and is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
