Name: Habitat for Humanity of Dane County - Behind the Build
Date: November 3, 2022
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
Habitat for Humanity of Dane County partnered with The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's (NRMCA) Build with Strength Coalition to build an affordable, single family home in Dane County using insulated concrete forms (ICFs), a sustainable, noncombustible concrete building system that will reduce upfront expenses and on-site construction time while maximizing the structure's durability and energy performance.

Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has built affordable housing in 18 communities across the County helping to close the increasing housing gap.

Community members, volunteers, local leaders, and media are invited to a "Behind the Build" event November 3rd from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the project site at 1853 Beld Street, 53713, to celebrate the progress made and meet the many people and partners who have helped bring these homes to life.

The event will feature remarks from local leaders, a guided hard-hat tour of the homes, and a "block signing ceremony" where attendees will have a chance to write well wishes and blessings for the Habitat families on the ICFs. Importantly, this feature will offer and opportunity to meet and celebrate with the future Habitat homeowners and their family.
