This mature drama, which won three Oscars at the 1st Academy Awards in 1929, is a tale about a farmer fighting good and evil within him – choosing between an urbane woman and his wife at home. Director F.W. Murnau used the Fox Movietone sound-on-film system, making Sunrise one of the first feature films with a synchronized musical score and sound effects soundtrack. Sponsored by Goodman’s Jewelers. The special screening of Sunrise is a longer feature film, which may not be appropriate for children and will not include vaudeville acts or door prizes.
