The Monroe Street Festival will be returning for its 45th year on Saturday, September 9th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. This beloved event celebrates locally owned businesses and brings the community together for a day of entertainment, food, shopping, and children’s activities. The festival will take place in the 1600 to 2700 blocks of Monroe Street on Madison’s near west side.
Visitors can look forward to the highly anticipated book sale at the Monroe Street Library, as well as “grab and go” specials offered by the many restaurants and coffee shops in the area. This year’s festival will also feature a climbing wall, international dance performances, and live music ranging from steel drums to a Billy Joel tribute band.
