As part of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation’s Childhood Cancer Impact Awards, Northwestern Mutual – Southern Wisconsin has been recognized as a 2021 recipient for its dedication to accelerating the search for better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. As part of the award, Garding Against Cancer will be presented with a $60,000 grant on September 25 at 7 p.m. at Breese Stevens Field.
Northwestern Mutual – Southern Wisconsin will present a check to nonprofit Garding Against Cancer at the Forward Madison FC’s Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation game. Garding Against Cancer, founded by UW-Madison Men’s basketball coach Greg Gard and his wife Michelle, works to support cancer patients across the state of Wisconsin through supporting cancer research.
