Girls on the Run 5K Run

Girls on the Run of South Central Wisconsin is celebrating the accomplishments of our Fall 2021 season on Saturday, November 6th in Waunakee. This family-friendly, untimed, non-competitive 5K is a spectacle of girl power. This event is the culmination of the 8-week afterschool program that is inspiring 700 area 3-5th grade girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident through running. The 5K gives the girls a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals. Crossing the finish line is a defining moment when the girls realize that even the seemingly impossible IS possible. The public is welcome and all proceeds from the event go to the Girls on the Run financial assistance fund to support future participants with financial need.
